What is the Better Brothas Bureau?

The BBB, or Better Brothas Bureau, was founded to discuss issues relevant to modern young African-Americans from 4 authentic, unique and highly individual perspectives. The BBB is a reminder to ourselves and others that we have a responsibility to continue the discussion of what it can mean to be black in America, and more importantly, try to change the definition in the process.

Our methods may be brash, our topics uncomfortable, and our implications cutting at times, but the message is always that we as a whole can do better somehow.

We're not here to preach, or even always to teach...what we are here to do is reach: reach out to other members of our extended family through our writing, reach new conclusions on conventional wisdom in the black community, reach a higher general consciousness of important and pressing concepts, reach for answers to questions that change wording but never query, and hopefully reach a new understanding of the contemporary black experience in both theory and practice.
